Selous Biotechnology is a Dar es Salaam-based medical equipment distributor and one of the few dealers in Africa authorized to supply MAICO Diagnostics instrumentation — alongside dental, pulmonary, hearing aid and prosthetic equipment.
Our story
A regional partner, not just a supplier
Access to accurate, well-maintained diagnostic equipment remains one of the biggest barriers to quality healthcare across East Africa. Selous Biotechnology was formed to close that gap — bringing internationally certified instrumentation directly to hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation centres, and standing behind every device with installation, calibration and repair support delivered locally, not from overseas.
As an authorized MAICO Diagnostics dealer, we combine manufacturer-grade audiometry and screening technology with a full catalogue of dental, pulmonary, hearing aid and prosthetic solutions — so clinical teams can source what they need from a single accountable partner.

Founded in Dar es Salaam to distribute certified medical diagnostic equipment to hospitals and clinics across Tanzania.

Authorized MAICO Diagnostics dealership
Selous Biotechnology becomes one of the few dealers authorized to distribute MAICO’s audiometers, tympanometers and OAE/ABR devices in Africa.
